Right now, let us talk about
men's thing! I was watching a talkshow on Sunday morning on a Malaysian Channel called
"Apa Kata Wanita" (What women say?) There's a woman from the audience raise a question to this ustaz/counselor :
During the early years of marriage, each time when i was unhappy about my husband, i would keep quiet and then he would understand what i felt. But after many years of marriage, the more i kept quiet, the more he did nothing to my feelings, he seemed not to bother about the whole situation. So what can I do to make him understand?The answer from Mr Counselor was:
Don't expect to get "i am sorry, honey" from your husband. Asian man, perhaps our men can't be the same like those men in the West and those from the hollywood films. Our typical men always convey their apology through actions. By asking what can he do to help with the household chores; they show their care and concern through actions not by words.The wives must also initiate to do small romantic gestures everyday to tighten the bond together. It's a good thing to hug him everyday, perhaps before he go to work. Scientific research has shown that if we hug our husband everyday for 10 secs, he will live for an additional 5 more years. (and then he crack a joke about this)Well, i guess i have came across a book saying that man show their love and concern through actions which means physically-based not emotionally like us, women. I guess, somehow it's true because my fiance did exactly the same thing just before i watched this show.
We had some disagreements about some matter that ended up both of us were furious to each other. The next day, i didn't even contacted him. Initially, he didn't either. Then, i received a msg from him, "me ambik u." i didn't reply. but i was actually relieved coz i hate taking the train home coz it's always like "sardine" in there. (point 1). We didnt even talk while on the road like usual. Then, when i asked him to stop at my car to take my things in there, he cleared away all those twigs on my car, without asking to. (Point 2) Maybe he did all that to mend things back. Alhamdulilah.
So, understand your men, like how they think and react, they are completely different from us. Women are the naggy, petty and emotional creature on earth. That's me, i guess. heh.
By the way, my office are shifting to an office in Clarke Quay, and they have the similar facilities like in Condo. Now, we have kitchen and a bathroom in the office. We can even shower in there. The coolest thing is the jacuzzi which is my favourite, water massage. Ahhhhhh... and the best part is i can wash my bling bling everyday coz that's the place where i bought my engagement ring!!! yeay.
